MEET ERIN

Hello, I’m Erin VanderSluis, founder and principal designer of Erin VanderSluis Design. My career spans more than 15 years in the home-building and design industry, including valuable experience co-owning a general contracting company — a foundation that continues to inform my practical, construction-aware approach to design. In 2020, I launched my design studio as a natural evolution of that work and experience.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario, a post-graduate credential in Public Relations from Niagara College, and a diploma from The Interior Design Institute of Canada. This diverse background shapes a thoughtful, well-rounded design philosophy grounded in both creativity and disciplined process.

Beyond my professional practice, I have a deep appreciation for music, piano, philosophy, theology, and the arts — influences that continually inspire my perspective and creative thinking. Outside of design, I value time spent with my wonderful family and friends, and the balance that life beyond work brings.
